I saw this commuting home yesterday, it was a flying down the highway looking extremely elegant. It was easily doing 15+ the speed limit, as I desperately retired to get close enough to see it better but couldn't.

It’s a Volvo Amazon/122S. By the looks of it, this one is kind of a sleeper, since the wheels are way too big to be stock, while still retaining the stock style.
I really like them, but here in the Netherlands they and their predecessor the PV444, have become the standard doctor/lawyer/dentist fun car, so they’ve got a kinda dull image. Though I wouldn’t say no to one like this:

AMAZON!
I almost bought one for $1500. I’m so mad I didn’t. That is one of the biggest regrets I have. Especially since I instead bought a 2000 V70R that was super broken

Great car, despite its old looks it was produced up until 1970. It became quite modern underneath with front disc brakes, two-point seatbelt and strong 1.8 and later 2.0 engines.

Amazon as others have mentioned. I wanted one as a teen when I lived in the Netherlands, paint it flat black and put a V8 in it. I never did... obviously.

Mine was a nightmare to begin with. Had a rebuilt title, was stolen twice. in three accidents. Hadn’t seen a dealer in over a decade. i bought it anyway from a shady Russian dude because I wasn’t thinking and only noticed the rebuilt title when my mom pointed it out.
Driveshaft fell off (so FWD only) and the ETM was basically fried so it didn’t always start. Transmission had a terrible issue regarding the 2-3 and 3-2 shift.
Bumper on the front didn’t match and was being held on by drywall screws.
If you find one that was cared for, go for it. When it worked it was a blast. But... get one for under $2k like I did and be prepared to have a massive paperweight.

I always thought these looked kind of like a 1:2 scale 1955 Chrysler. The high door handles always caught my eye. Being in the Seattle area, these things are still around here - a guy near where I live DDs a wagon version, I see it almost every day.
